Welcome to SRS Primary Department

The primary department is located on the Montem Community Campus. It is a needs-appropriate, stimulating and fun place to learn for pupils in early years and Key stages 1 and 2, where they can access a heavily differentiated curriculum taught at their level.

Supporting pupils with all aspects of communication and ensuring pupils holistic needs are met is at the very heart of our everyday practise. We work very closely with outside agencies and outreach departments to further individualise each pupils learning journey.

We use every opportunity to support pupils towards independence and understanding the world around us.

We run a very comprehensive transition programme to ensure every pupil goes onto his or her secondary placement settled and ready to learn.
